We have an awesome team that shares a love for the sea and a commitment to helping the one.

Kristen started Sea of Love as a way of giving back to area youth the love and healing she has received from the ocean. She knows first hand the healing nature of the salt water on both the physical and spiritual body and feels so very grateful to share that with others.

Steve was born and raised in Balboa and spent every day of his life body surfing at the wedge. He "christened" each of his kids within days of their birth at L street on the Peninsula and the rest is history. Cole looked up to his dad more than anyone and it is his dad that instilled his love for the sea.

Lisa loves ocean swimming, long boarding and scuba diving, and currently holds multiple world records in women's spearfishing. When Lisa isn't working at her job in the medical device industry, she’s teaching children how to spearfish. She loves seeing the light in their eyes as they learn about the ocean.

Natalie met the Smith Family when she was 16 and sees them as her "adopted" family. Cole shared his love for the ocean with her and taught her to fish and to surf. After Cole passed away, Natalie was inspired to teach kids in Muizenberg, South Africa how to surf.

Kyle often says he is more comfortable in the water than he is on land. He worked as a lifeguard in Newport Beach for 12 years and in his spare time paddled outrigger canoes in Tahiti and Hawaii. Kyle lived on a boat in Mexico for a year and is a lifetime sailor. He is also working on coastal restoration projects in Hawaii.

Cade’s love of the ocean came from sharing some of his earliest water experiences with his big brother Cole. One of Cade's favorite memories of Cole is watching him pick up trash every time they went to the beach. To honor his memory, Cade heads up our Stewardship  Campaign and our monthly beach clean ups.
